Thank goodness! A voice of sanity. I think draperies that pool onto the floor look sloppy and uncustomized. They look like a nightmare to vacuum under as well as a haven for cat and dog paws.

You are so right about the grey. I painted my room a whiteish grey, and when I made my bed with dark/ light grey Casaluna linens, it looked very cold and wrong. When I switched to cream for the bedding everything started working together. And I love my grey walls

I broke my matching cranberry-colored sofa and huge chair with ottoman combo up. The chair and ottoman are in my office/library now. The sofa is in the living room. A linen armchair with a throw that incorporates cranberry color is now in that room and it all looks great.

Hello! So many of us have start up homes and we typically end up with a lot of furnishings or decor or stuff that family members give you. They might be new, they might be old, they might be heirlooms but it's kind of hard figuring out how to style them altogether. I have a boho-eclectic vibe so I don't mind things that don't exactly match but it's still a challenge to achieve something cohesive and peaceful. Any thoughts? A big hug from Costa Rica!
